Hello, welcome to my web site. I’m a freelance author specialising in World War Two in the Far East. My father fought against the Japanese in the Malayan campaign from December 1941 until February 1942 as part of what is dubbed the ‘Forgotten Army’. He was subsequently taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore and spent a traumatic three and half years slaving on the infamous Thai/Burma Railway.
My first book ‘No Mercy from the Japanese’ was published in 2008, ‘Two Years of Tenko’ Life as a sixteen year old in a Japanese prisoner of war camp was published in 2015. ‘last Post Over the River Kwai’ was published in 2018. My new book ‘Frank Pantridge – Japanese Prisoner of War & Inventor of the Portable Defibrillator’ is due out July 2020.
